Will three become four in Wolves’ starting five?

Worceser Wolves have secured the services of veteran forward Arnas Kaslauskas for the 2012/13 campaign which will see Worcester move to their new purpose built arena early next year. The Lithuanian who brings a wealth of experience to the court also brings versatility as he showed in the blue and gold last term with his contribution from 20 feet proving a real asset for the Wolves.

Kaslauskas’ signature follows the agreed return of two of Worcester’s other starting five from last season, Carlos Fernandez and Sherrad Prezzie-Blue. The former being set to be an even bigger threat this autumn having gone from strength to strength in the last campaign. The latter needs no introduction to BBL fans having made the fans team of the year in the guard position and he’s a player that could walk in to most BBL starting fives.

Talking of fives, the fate of Richie Gordon and Tommy Freeman is yet to be decided, but the Wolves have reported that it is unlikely that Gordon will return to Worcester as he looks to take his talents to Europe. The question that all Worcester fans wait to be answered is whether Tommy Freeman the team’s star shooting guard and Ohio University’s all time record three point shooter will return to the faithful city. The noises have been promising, but it is probably a 50/50 call right now as he weighs up whatever offers are on the table. Whatever he decides, here at UK American Sports Fans we will be running our BBL Class of 2012 feature in the new season in which we will follow those we have known and loved. So Tommy will be getting column inches from us regardless of where he lands, but we sincerely hope it is back in the BBL with Carlos, Arnas and Sherrad.
