Christmas with BBL player…Matt Schneck

‘Christmas is here! Christmas is here! There’s reason to cheer! There’s reason to cheer!’ And over at BBL.org.uk, they’ve spoken to a collection of BBL stars from around the league about a range of festive-holiday topics from: where they will be spending Christmas, to what they’d get their coach for Christmas.

UKASF.com has access to the full interviews with each player and over the coming days, will be posting them for your enjoyment.

Here is…UCP Marjon Plymouth Raider, Matt Schneck:

How will you be spending the Christmas period this year?
I’m headed to the Chester area to spend it with my girlfriend’s family. I plan on a lot of relaxation and a cookie intake that I will regret on the 26th when we’re back to training. I’ve also got a few SKYPE dates planned with everyone from back home.

What’s your favourite thing about Christmas?
Time spent with family.

It doesn’t matter whether you were a child or an adult; what’s been your best ever Christmas present?
A Nintendo 64.

What presents have you asked for this year?
Ties. Cologne. A bathrobe. I’m getting old.

What do you enjoy more: the giving or receiving?
Giving, without question.

Any Christmas traditions you’d like to share?
Ping-pong. Brandy slushies. And a cinnamon-roll cake for Jesus’ birthday.

If you had to get your coach a Christmas present, what would it be?
Coach Love tends to be a well dressed man on the sidelines. I’d probably get him a suit or some dress-shoes out of my price range.

And finally, what is your Christmas wish for the rest of the BBL season?
Silverware, a deep play-off run and continued support from the British basketball community.
