Ever wondered how a player in a sea of professional athletes can stand out, get noticed and get signed up?

Former Cal State University baller, Tim ‘Trew’ McGrath, may have found a way: Twitter.

A recent tweet from well-respected basketball site Hoopsfix to the BBL teams advertised Trew’s availability which the player was happy to retweet around the league’s Northern sides:

 

 

The Cali-born Trew says he has Irish citizenship and is living in Manchester at present. No news on whether the Twitter campaign has worked yet but if nothing else, the basketball fraternity has some amazing videos to watch.
