The Wrap-Up: LaMarcus Aldridge out-monsters Dwight Howard in Blazers win

Los Angeles Clippers @ Brooklyn Nets

The Brooklyn Nets won their third straight game for the first time under Jason Kidd, with a 102-93 win over the LA Clippers. Andray Blatche’s 21 points and nine rebounds off the bench helped inspire the Nets to their first victory over a winning side for nearly a month. Joe Johnson also chipped in 21 points. Chris Paul scored 20 points but had only two assists as the Clippers continue to struggle with consistency. The game was also the first time Doc Rivers faced his former Celtics guys, Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce, since their exit from Boston in the summer.

Houston @ Portland

A virtuoso performance from LaMarcus Aldridge edged the Blazers past the visiting Rockets, 111-104. Aldridge finished with a line of 31 points and 25 rebounds as the Blazers moved to 19-4 on the season. Dwight Howard also had a monster night with 32 points, 17 rebounds and three blocks but he was powerless to stop Portland from winning their sixth game in seven tries. Freeland finished with two points and three boards in 13 minutes.
