Super Sunday

It’s Hockey Day in America and tonight also sees the East go up against the West in the NBA All-Star game. The festivities on the ice take place in Chicago, the home of Stanley Cup holders the Blackhawks.  Fans of every team are invited to Millenium Park to celebrate America’s love for Ice Hockey. Five games take place in the NHL tonight (see schedule) including the Heritage Classic an all Canadian outdoor game  between Montreal and Calgary. This years’ game takes place at McMahon Stadium in Calgary. But the climax of Hockey Day is the game at 8:30pm our time when the Penguins fly in to Chicago.

Blake Griffin is the first rookie to make the All-Star roster since Tim Duncan in 1998. And 13 years later, the Spurs’ forward is in the line-up for the tenth time in his career. The starting line-ups promise a lot for the game tipping-off at the Staples Center at 1am.
