Summer in the Faithful City

With the new BBL season fast approaching, Worcester Director of Basketball, Paul James, has had a busy summer so far.

Nine days in to July,  the Wolves and Paul James are currently holding a Spanish, English language basketball camp, which is a first for the programme. The BBL side also have a residential basketball camp running from August 18-23.

The 2013/14 season is not far away and so pre-season preparations have already started for the Wolves, with the team back on the court in September. So far this summer James has made three signings in Alex Owumi (last season’s MVP), Kalil Irving (last season’s most exciting player) and former Plymouth player, Jamal Williams.

The University of Worcester and the BBL Wolves hold a close partnership, with Paul James saying of it: “The relationship between the University and the Wolves has been very strong over the years and that’s why the University has been so dominant over the last decade. The partnership is blossoming nicely in all areas of the basketball programme and long may it continue”.

Positive and exciting things are happening with the Worcester Wolves. The new season will be a new challenge and an excellent opportunity for them to produce and succeed.
