Portland’s Freeland speaks to media but no home game debut

Great Britain forward, Joel Freeland, did not feature in Portland Trailblazers’ 116-106 victory over LA Lakers at the Rose Bowl last night, despite hopes for it to be his first game since his summer move to the West Coast club.

Freeland, 25, represented Great Britain in the London 2012 Olympics this Summer, helping his country to it’s first Olympic win in 64 years, defeating China 90-58.

The challenge facing Freeland is how quickly he can adapt to the NBA game having spent the last three years in Spain playing for Unicaja Malaga.

It was that question and more, that Freeland answered during an exclusive conference call with the media on Tuesday.
