Russell Westbrook

Oklahoma guard Westbrook first dons his uniform in anger on Christmas Day for the game at home to Orlando. In three seasons in the NBA to date, Westbrook peaked at 21.9 points per game (ppg) last season over five points higher per game than his previous season’s average.

Westbrook put 40 points on the Grizzlies in game four of the 2011 playoff matchup and hauled in 23.8 ppg in 17 post-season games as Oklahoma made it to the Western Conference Finals. Westbrook led the scorers in vain in game five of that series as the Mavericks clinched 4-1.

After the Magic comes to town, the Thunder’s 66 game schedule continues with trips to Minnesota and Memphis on the 26 and 28 December respectively. Westbrook’s fourth season in the NBA will prove to be his toughest challenge yet, but rest assured that the young guard will continue to bring it!
