NFL 2013 Team Rankings: Week 1 Summary

The Broncos were the most outstanding team in the opening weeks play, their second half display against the Ravens set a very high benchmark for the whole league to try and reach. They scored a huge 40 points that will take some beating all year.

Behind them it is quite close with six teams separated by just 2 points.

The Chargers just about made it into the top half of the rankings, but it will be a case of what might have been as they threw away a big lead at home to the Texans. One winner from week one struggled so much during their game that they are languishing very low down the list, the Seahawks will be looking to get a second win and some more points but they have a tough game against the 49ers coming up.

As good as the Broncos were the Jaguars were just plain awful and this is reflected in the lowest score of the week, just 6 points on the board. Also in single digits are the Panthers who will feel unlucky having pushed the Seahawks hard in their loss.
