Lockett moves on from Mersey to Germany

It was reported today that Josh Lockett, who spent last season in the BBL with the winless Mersey Tigers, has made the move to German ProB side Recklinghausen.

The 24-year-old power forward’s addition to the German side is helpful as with having both an American and German passport (his mother was born in Nuremberg), it means Recklinghausen will benefit hugely having his experience whilst also keeping in line with the need for having at least three German players on court per side.

Sporting director, Georg Kliene said of Lockett: “Josh will help us under the baskets with his physique, his statistics show that he can be an important player for us.”

UKAmericanSportsFans.com are led to believe that Mersey Tigers are set to make an imminent announcement regarding the forthcoming season.
