Lacroix Sidelined for Three Months

Steelers leading scorer Maxime Lacroix has undergone surgary on two fractures to his ankle in an injury picked up in Saturdays game against the Nottingham Panthers.

Steelers have confirmed that they have begun the search for a replacement forward and hope to have news shortly.

Head coach Doug Christiansen said “Losing Max Lacroix for a minimum of 3 months, is a big blow to our team. He was leading the league in goals when he got hurt and was really emerging into the player we expected him to be. He had a successful surgery on Monday and is still in the hospital recovering.  I hope all Steeler fans wish him a speedy recovery!

“I am currently looking for a replacement for Max. There are a number of players on the market but it is important that we sign a player who is capable of helping us offensively.”
