Hull Stingrays unveil their 2013/14 uniforms

Rapid Solicitors Hull Stingrays have unveiled their new shirts for the 2013/14 Rapid Solicitors Elite League season.

There were 13 members of the roster present at the Old Grey Mare pub in Hull at the weekend to dress-up for the Stingrays, and the many fans in attendance were said to be positive about the new look. Blue and gold is again the choice for the home jersey with white and blue to be used when they suit up as visitors. A black and blue jersey will be used for Challenge Cup ties.

Forward Matty Davies said: “I like the new tops, especially the laces which are just above the crest. That’s pretty cool and a bit retro, like some of the NHL tops you have seen over the years. I think the fans will like that. The event saw a great turn-out – I have always said we have the best supporters in the league.

“All the boys are looking forward to the new season and we cannot wait to get going. There are a few new faces this year which sometimes is not a bad thing and I think we have a stronger team this time.”

Owner Bobby McEwan added: “I want to thank all our fans and everyone else who attended the event. It was a great day all round and the new shirt design seemed to go down well.”

Stingrays take on Edinburgh Capitals at the Hull Arena in a pre-season game on Wednesday August 28 (7.30pm face-off).
