Fife over the moon for Scoon’s return

Josh Scoon has agreed to return to the Fife Flyers for what will be a fourth consecutive year ahead of the 2013/14 EIHL season.

For head coach Todd Dutiaume, he wants to give Scoon, 21, more than just a supporting role on the Fife ice: “Josh has put in some really hard work over the past few years and deserves the chance now to play a larger role.

“You will be pushed to find any player with a better attitude than Scoony and he is extremely easy to coach. The games that he has featured in the coaching staff have been pleased with his performances, and over the summer he has worked hard on his strength and conditioning which will help take his performances to the next level.”

Associate coach Danny Stewart added. “Scoony is a guy who we welcome back and it is up to him now to make that place his own. We saw at times last season what he could do but now with the loss of Steven McAlpine that opens a spot for Scoony to come in and grab the opportunity.”
