Chez steps up to his Marks in Jets’ time of need

Cheshire Jets have this afternoon announced that co-captain, Chez Marks, has now taken on an interim role as coach of the team.

With plenty of turbulence from the past week, seeing the resignation of Jets legend, James Hamilton, the appointment of Marks has been quickly made by the management team in order for some much needed stability.

Their belief is that with his impact so far both on and off court, he was a perfect candidate for the position.

Continuing in his previous role as assistant, Matthew Lloyd will remain alongside Marks, but increasing his responsibility, whilst Shawn Myers will also be on hand. The trio will be present this Friday night away against Plymouth Raiders.

Speaking about his appointment, Marks said: “We have got some big shoes to fill, but with all three of us, I feel that we can come close to filling those shoes. With youth and experience I think we can take on this challenge together.

“It isn’t going to happen overnight, but we all have the determination and the fight to do the best that we can and try to have a successful year”
