Cheshire fans choose “Phoenix” as their new name
It has been announced this morning that the Cheshire franchise have chosen their new name of “Cheshire Phoenix” if the funds are successfully raised before the end of this month.
Announced on Facebook today following a ballot at last night’s game against Manchester Giants, this is one of the key steps towards saving the franchise.
There still needs to be funds raised, but after last night’s monumental battle against Giants, with one of the most nail-biting finishes seen in the BBL, it would be difficult to put off potential investment in such a passionate team and set of supporters.
Now…anyone for a logo?
