Be Brave – Back Atlanta over Phillies

If you checked in on Friday, Callum Gutteridge from @USsportstipping picked out that the Boston Red Sox would win and a total game of under 8.5 runs – if you backed it, congratulations! If not, he’s back with yet another tip for tonight, this time in Philadelphia.

Ervin Santana will be going up against Roberto Hernandez in this Monday night matchup at Citizens Bank Ballpark in Philadelphia and it is sure to be an interesting encounter.

Santana is fresh off firing a major league record 20 strikeouts in his first start of the season and we fancy him to get his second win tonight. He will also be backed by an offence that scored 23 runs in three games against a strong Nationals side to record a sweep.

We feel this offence should be able to get to Hernandez who gave up three earned runs in his most recent start and is sporting a 4.35 ERA this season. He should have a tough time attempting to cool the Braves bats.

TIP: Atlanta WIN

With their most recent series against the Nationals in mind we can’t help but predict a high scoring day for the Braves. They have been historically strong when playing the Phillies, averaging 4.9 runs a game against them in last year’s season series. Playing in a hitter friendly ballpark should also help the Braves bats remain hot.

TIP: Atlanta team runs – OVER 4
