BBL Tweets of the Week: 17/10-22/10

At UKAmericanSportsFans.com, I’m monitoring tweets from BBL personalities past and present for our feature “Tweets of the Week”.

Welcome to the weird and wonderful world of the BBL on Twitter…

London Lions’ Tayo Ogedengbe makes his debut on Tweets of the week with a bold statement.

I like what you did there Tayo. Word play. Nice. Aspirations are certainly high for Leicester Riders’ Jamell Anderson.

I know money’s tight in the BBL but do us a favour Rob, buy the kid a backpack will you? Mersey Tigers are having a horrific start to the season but young Josh McGinn seems intent on inflicting even more pain on himself.

The words easily pleased spring to mind. I think Newcastle Eagles’ point guard Ant Martin must have been watching Catchphrase.

Say what you see Ant. Say what you see. Ex-Wolves big man Richie Gordon is a real sweet talking guy.

Richie may be all romantic but Plymouth Raiders’ guard Mike Ojo seems pretty standoffish this week.

Well Foxy’s going to be disappointed. Worcester Wolves’ Stuart Thomson is going to have to learn to stop making these bold predictions…

Leicester Riders appeared to disagree! Meanwhile, London Lions head honcho, Vince Macauley has been watching a certain magician from Bradford.

Maybe Vince, maybe. Not as ridiculous as ordering your Lions off court mid game at Sport Central for an invisible problem with the court surface though. Wait until your road trip to Durham and the infamous black hole of Newton Aycliffe. Damon Huffman has never been the same after the court tried to swallow him alive. I can occasionally be serious on Tweets of the Week and here is one of those times. Honest. It’s great to see GB star Julie Page supporting her brother, Keith, playing for the Durham Wildcats in the BBL.

Watch out for that floor though Julie. The last words go to our friend Tommy Freeman.

Erm, no you don’t Tommy. No you bloody well don’t.

I’ll be back with more Tweets of the Week next week.
