Anderson signs contract extension with Leicester Riders

Jamell Anderson, the 6’6 versatile forward for the Jelson Homes DMU Leicester Riders, has been offered a contract extension by the club, a deal which sees Anderson staying in Leicester for three years.

Anderson, who joined the Riders from the Essex Pirates in 2011, has seen his career blossom whilst under the guidance of Head Coach Rob Paternostro, playing increased minutes as the season reached it’s climax before participating in the FIBA 3-on-3 tournament held in Athens, Greece during the Summer.

Coach Paternostro told the official BBL site that he was delighted the young forward had extended his contract and that he was looking forward to seeing continued improvement from Anderson:

“Jamell is very important to the club and is improving day by day,” said the fifth year Head Coach.

“He has tremendous athletic talent, and is a very hard worker. Whatever I ask him to do gets done and I truly believe he has a lot more to come, so it is great he has committed to the club.”

Anderson will be competing for minutes this season alongside the returning Lamble and new signings Fraley, Losonsky and Couisnard.
