The Wrap-Up: Steph Curry’s triple-double helps Warriors extinguish Suns

OKC @ Charlotte

The Thunder were without star guard, Russell Westbrook, following his additional knee surgery that will rule him out until after the All Star Game and they were made to work for their 89-85 win over the Charlotte Bobcats. The Thunder couldn’t gain seperation until a pair of Sefolosha free throws and a Kemba Walker miss sealed the Thunder’s 9th win in 10 games. Kevin Durant led all scorers with 34 points while Westbrook-replacement, Reggie Jackson finished with 10 points on 4-of-19 shooting.

Detroit @ Orlando

The Piston’s lost for the third time in four games with a 109-92 loss to the Orlando Magic. Three Magic players finished with double-doubles led by Vucevicic’s 20 points and 11 rebounds. Brandon Jennings had 20 points and eight assists in defeat.

Milwaukee @ Brooklyn

Shaun Livingston returned to Milwaukee to play against his former side, finishing with 20 points, five rebounds and six assists in the Nets’ 104-93 win Giannis Antetokoumpo led the Bucks with 16 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks.

Toronto @ New York

The Knicks were held to just 12 fourth quarter points as the Raptors walked away with the win, 95-83. Former Knicks target, Kyle Lowry, finished with 15 points and 11 assists while teammate, DeMar DeRozan led all scorers with 25 points. The two teams face one another tonight in Tornoto.

Washington @ Minnesota

The Timberwolves blitzed the Wizards, 120-98, behind Kevin Love’s 25 points and 10 rebounds. The TWolves did an excellent job of taking care of the ball, only turning the ball over four times in the game to Washington’s 12. With this win’ the TWolves split the season series at 1-1.

Denver @ New Orleans

The Nuggets lost their fifth straight game with a 105-89 loss to the New Orleans Pelicans. The Pelicans got the better of their West oast rival as they battle for playoff position thanks to Tyreke’s 19 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds off the bench.

Los Angeles Lakers @ Utah

Derrick Favors followed up on a Hayward miss to give the Jazz the lead and the win, 105-103. Favours dominated the Lakers frontline, scoring 18 points and grabbing 14 rebounds. Hayward and Burke combined for 38 points and 16 assists in Utah’s ninth win of the season. The loss was LA’s 7th in their last 10 games.

Miami @ Sacramento

Both teams had a chance to win the game in regulation but blew their chances before the Kings took control in the extra period to win 108-103. Not even LeBron’s game-high 33 points could help extend the Heat’s six-game win streak as DeMarcus Cousins, Rudy Gay and Isaiah Thomas combined for 75 points.

Phoenix @ Golden State

Steph Curry’s triple-double was enough to spark the Warriors to a 115-86 win over the Phoenix Suns. Curry’s line of 14 points, 13 rebounds and 16 assists was only the second time that the GS point guard has recorded a triple-double this year. As a team, Golden State dominated the Suns, outrebounding them 56-41 and holding Phoenix to just 12 assists.
