Stingrays release Bakrlik

Excel Hull Stingrays have confirmed that they have released Czech forward Frantisek Bakrlik with immediate effect.

The 28-year-old was Stingrays’ third-highest point-scorer with 22 points (six goals and 16 assists) in 27 games this season but he managed just one goal in five-on-five play.

Player-coach Sylvain Cloutier said: “We brought Frankie here to make a big contribution to our scoring and to be one of our leading goal scorers”.

“We expected more but unfortunately things have not worked out for him. He is a good guy and a good team-mate and we wish him all the best for the future.”
