East Scotland Warriors to hold winter basketball sessions

Next year’s BBL newcomers, the East Scotland Warriors, are ramping up their profile with the announcement of their upcoming Warriors Skills Academy over the Christmas period.

Focusing in on developing young local talent in the area, the sessions, to be held at Holyrood High School in Edinburgh, start from the 16th December and will cover a range of skills, both individually and also as part of a team.

Aimed at boys and girls from the ages of 12 to 18 initially, the Warriors are looking to develop these sessions further in the coming weeks for younger and older participants.

The sessions cost £10 each, and those interested can find out more, and also register and pay online at warriorsbbl.com; there are limited spaces at each camp, so check online beforehand.

Below is a quick run-down of the dates that camp sessions will be held:

  • December 16th: Boys Shooting Fundamentals Camp
  • December 20th: Boys and Girls Individual Skills Camp
  • December 23th: Girls Shooting Fundamentals Camp
  • December 27th: Boys Team Drills and Skills Camp

Beyond these camps, news of East Scotland Warriors’ head coach is expected to come early in the new year, with signings hoping to be made from February onwards.
