Newcastle Eagles have accepted an invitation to appear in Basketball Days, a six-team tournament in Holland.

In what is a first foray into mainland Europe for the BBL leaders, the Eagles take on Dutch outfit Landstede Baketball, the Nigerian national side, USA’s 94Fifty Allstars, Barsy Atyrau from Kazahkstan and Brazil’s Gremio Mogi.

The tournament will take place in Zwolle, approximately 60 miles from Dutch capital Amsterdam. With games taking place between 26th and 30th December it means a hectic Christmas and New Year period for the Newcastle team.

Newcastle Eagles take on Barsy Atyrau on 27th and the Nigerian National Team on the 28th with the playoff games and finals on 29th and 30th December.
