Worcester Wolves add Creekmore to the roster
With the recent news of signing big man Ian Salter, the Worcester Wolves have confirmed another big man signed to the roster, 24 year old American power forward / centre Will Creekmore.
The 24 year old stands at 6 feet 9 inches, with playing experience in both America and Germany. Last season Creekmore was part of the NBA Development League team Tulsa 66ers, who have a close partnership with the Oklahoma City Thunder. Creekmore’s college playing carrer saw him represent and play for Missouri State Bears, where in his senior year he scored an impressive 11 points and 7 rebounds a game. Rebounding has always been a dominating part of Creekmore’s game, and he became his school’s leading all-time rebounder in his junior and senior years of playing at Thomas Edison High School.
Paul James, the director and head coach of the Worcester Wolves has confirmed he has been chasing Creekmore for a while, stating: “Will has been on my radar for some time. Once I learnt he was available, I knew he would be a good fit for the Wolves”. Paul James then continued to say: “He is a big body who can score steadily and will grab plenty of boards for us”.
With Creekmore looking forward to joing Worcester, he stated: “I am extremely excited about the opportunity to play this season in the BBL for Worcester. Coach James and the rest of the staff have done a great job putting together a competitive roster. I look forward to doing my part in helping the Wolves compete for a championship Season”.
With three big signings in a short space of time, Wolves can look ahead to an exciting and possibly successful season.
